Podcast: Scott Reinen

The Bronx Pinstripes blogger joined me to talk about the new-look Yankees following the trade deadline.

Luis Severino

It’s been the best week for the Yankees since the first week of November 2009 when they last won the World Series. The Yankees turned Aroldis Chapman, Andrew Miller and Carlos Beltran into top and promising young prospects and even moved Ivan Nova at the trade deadline. They called up Gary Sanchez and watched him get his first Major League hit, saw the dominance of Luis Severino once again and took the first two games of the four-game Subway Series for the Mets. There hasn’t been much to be happy about with the Yankees in recent years, especially in this 54-53 season, but this past week has brought a lot of happiness to Yankees fans.

Scott Reinen of Bronx Pinstripes joined me to talk about the Yankees’ trades at the deadline, which trades the Yankees should have made, being excited for the future, what to do with A-Rod and what the lineup and rotation could look like in 2017.

Podcast: Scott Reinen

The Bronx Pinstripes blogger joined me to talk about if the Yankees should be buyers or sellers this season.

Joe Girardi

Buyers or sellers? That’s the biggest question the Yankees face in the coming weeks. It’s been a debate all season, but it likely won’t get answered until the seven games after the All-Star break when the Yankees face the Red Sox and Orioles to determine their fate this season.

Scott Reinen of Bronx Pinstripes joined me to talk about if the Yankees should be buyers or sellers, believing in Michael Pineda and Nathan Eovaldi, why the team continues to screw over Rob Refsnyder and what to do with Mark Teixeira when he returns from the disabled list.

Podcast: Andrew Rotondi

The Bronx Pinstripes blogger joined me to talk about the Yankees’ run, Hal’s comments and Girardi’s decisions.

Aroldis Chapman

The Yankees are the hottest team in baseball. No, really. After a 9-17 start to the season, the Yankees are 12-5 over their last 17 games and are riding a five-game winning streak as they return home for three games before heading back on the road for 10. The season and summer has been saved for the time being.

Andrew Rotondi of Bronx Pinstripes joined me to talk about the Yankees’ recent hot run, Hal Steinbrenner’s public comments, Joe Girardi’s management at the back end of the bullpen, if the Yankees will ever give Rob Refsnyder a chance, the problem with the Yankees having two designated hitters and how Michael Pineda has become A.J. Burnett.

Podcast: White Sox Dave

The Barstool Sports blogger joined me to talk about the White Sox’ overachieving start and Chris Sale’s dominance.

Chris Sale

The Yankees have won two series in a row. I thought it would never happen, but after winning two of three against Boston and three of four against Kansas City, the Yankees have won five of seven, and the only thing standing between them and the 7-3 homestand I thought they needed is the best team in the American League: the White Sox. And not only are the Yankees playing the White Sox, they’re going to see left-handers Chris Sale and Jose Quintana in the first two games of the series.

White Sox Dave of Barstool Sports Chicago joined me to talk about the White Sox’ overachieving start to the season, the dominance of AL Cy Young favorite Chris Sale, how the White Sox offense is succeeding, the second year of David Robertson as the team’s closer and what it’s like to be a White Sox fan living in Chicago during the Cubs’ resurgence.

Podcast: Danny Picard

The WEEI host joined me to talk about the state of the Yankees-Red Sox rivalry after their first series of the season.

Brian McCann and David Ortiz

The Yankees aren’t good. They have been a bad baseball team ever since they won the sixth game of the season to improve to 4-2, going 5-15 since then. At seven games back in the division already, it’s going to be quite the climb to try to get out of the hole they find themselves in and the digging starts this weekend against the Red Sox at Yankee Stadium.

Danny Picard, of DannyPicard.com and The Danny Picard Show on WEEI and Comcast SportsNet New England, joined me to talk about the state of the Yankees and Red Sox, the perception of the Red Sox’ roster in Boston, the end of the A-Rod and David Ortiz era and how long David Price has to prove himself.
