The Yankees will start the second half of the season with a seven-game lead in the division and a 9 1/2-game lead over the Red Sox thanks to their 3-1 series over the weekend at Fenway Park. Despite missing CC Sabathia and Andy Pettitte, the Yankees were able to win four of seven from the Rays and Red Sox over the final week of the first half and keep their massive lead in the AL East.

Danny Picard of Comcast SportsNet New England (CSNNE.com) and I’m Just Sayin joined me to look back at the Yankees-Red Sox series from the weekend. We talked about what’s wrong with David Ortiz’s mouth and Adrian Gonzalez’s bat, if Bobby Valentine is the right man for Boston and whether or not the Red Sox’ season is over at the All-Star break.
